    I brought in a watch yesterday that I wanted to give to my son for his birthday. It's about 20 years old and didn't run so I figured I'd put in a battery and have it cleaned up for him. The guy, I guess the owner, took the watch shaking his head and sighing because I made him get up "just for a battery". He came back and said it was all done but it still didn't run because the battery leaked into it and he would need to send it out. He at that time told me to buy a new one. I took it to a real watch guy and when he opened it he told me that whoever opened it last broke the coil because they pushed the tool in too far. The watch hadn't been opened since I owned it. He then showed me the battery and there was no leak in it. The guy at MacKinnon broke the watch and lied to my face because he thought I wouldn't ever find out. The watch is being fixed by someone qualified now so it turned out okay but the guys at MacKinnon won't see the other 5 watches including a Rolex Daytona that also need service. Good lesson in prequalifying by sight. Buyer beware on this place. Find somewhere else to spend your money.
